Building SharpSharp – A Food & Lifestyle Platform

We worked closely with Perks SharpSharp Technologies Ltd to develop their digital product, SharpSharp. The platform is designed to bring essential services and products right to your doorstep. Whether you need food, groceries, drinks, medicine, cosmetics, hotel or Airbnb reservations, car rentals, barbing services, or even electrical and plumbing repairs within Edo State, SharpSharp makes it all accessible with just a few taps.

 

Over a period of four months, our team collaborated extensively with the parent company to bring this vision to life. From defining the brand identity to designing the website, crafting the UI/UX experience, mapping out workflows, and developing the mobile application, we handled every stage of the project. We also conducted thorough testing, debugging, and optimization before successfully deploying the app to both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Building the SharpSharp Application

The CEO of Perks SharpSharp Technologies Ltd has long envisioned creating a mobile application tailored specifically to the needs of the people of Edo State, Nigeria. The goal was to build a regional-focused platform where users could seamlessly engage in everyday activities—whether it’s ordering food, groceries, requesting the services of skilled professionals like plumbers and electricians, or making hotel and Airbnb reservations within the state.

We were honored to be entrusted with bringing this vision to life. From the outset, we worked closely with the parent company to ensure every detail of the project was carefully considered. The first phase involved selecting the right brand identity, followed by an extensive UI/UX design and workflow planning. This stage required meticulous collaboration, including extensive user research, to ensure the app would be intuitive and user-friendly while delivering a rich experience. From the first screens to the final designs in Figma, we created an app that met the company’s requirements. Several improvements were incorporated, and once the designs were approved, we moved on to development.

The development phase was centered around delivering a product that not only met but exceeded our client’s expectations. The key deliverables for the project included:

The design and development of the mobile application ran in parallel with the website design. At Codefixbug, our team collaborated seamlessly to ensure the mobile app development was aligned with the Figma designs. We focused on delivering a fully functional app, complete with unit testing and all required features. API integration with the backend was successfully completed, followed by internal testing to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the Admin Management Portal was developed alongside the backend APIs, giving the company complete control over all administrative features of the system.

Security was a top priority throughout the development process. We built robust security measures into the app at every level to ensure the protection of user data, admin systems, and the website itself. Once the development of the APIs, mobile application, and website was finalized, we conducted a comprehensive testing session with the client to ensure everything met their standards before deployment.

After development, we initiated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with the parent company. A comprehensive testing phase was conducted to ensure the app, website, and both Android and iOS applications performed seamlessly across all platforms. During this phase, valuable feedback from the testing sessions was gathered and incorporated into the app, refining its functionality and user experience. Once all feedback was addressed, the app was approved for submission to both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Both stores carefully reviewed the apps, ensuring they met their respective policies and guidelines. After successfully clearing the review process, the apps were officially approved for launch and went live across both platforms, marking the successful deployment of SharpSharp.

Focused on bringing convenience to your doorstep, the SharpSharp app enables users to seamlessly access a wide range of services within Edo State. From ordering food from your favorite local restaurants and purchasing groceries from nearby supermarkets, to booking health and beauty products, SharpSharp ensures everything you need is within reach. You can also make hotel or Airbnb reservations, rent cars for airport pickups or opt for luxury rentals, request skilled professionals for electrical or plumbing services, and even book a trusted barber for your grooming needs.

After Deployment, What’s Next?

Now that SharpSharp is live on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, our focus will shift toward ensuring its ongoing success and optimisation. We will work closely with the parent company of the app to monitor its performance and address any technical issues or bugs as quickly as possible. Ensuring seamless functionality across all platforms will remain a top priority, and our teams will stay proactive in maintaining system stability, reliability, and user satisfaction.

At the same time, user feedback will play a central role in driving continuous improvement. By actively listening to users and analyzing their experiences, we will refine existing features, enhance usability, and introduce meaningful updates that align with their needs. Regular feature upgrades and performance enhancements will help SharpSharp remain a trusted and convenient solution across Edo State, setting a strong foundation for sustained growth and engagement.

Finally, security, optimization, and customer support will remain critical priorities. We will conduct regular security updates and performance optimizations to safeguard user data and ensure a smooth, reliable experience. Our dedicated support team will continue working closely with our client to assist users, resolve bugs promptly, and further improve functionality.
