We worked closely with Blastily Limited, a Canadian-based, Nigerian-owned startup, to develop Blastily, a dynamic cross-border marketing platform designed to transform how businesses engage with audiences across the globe. Blastily empowers brands to increase their visibility through a broad range of marketing channels, including radio, billboards, television, publications, and more. With an expansive reach across Africa and global markets, the platform provides businesses with strategic solutions to connect with new audiences, enhance their presence, and drive growth.

Over the past nine months, Codefixbug has been working closely with Blastily Limited to conceptualise, design, and develop this platform from the ground up. After taking over the project from a previous software development partner, we collaborated with the parent company to completely redesign the platform. This included developing new strategies, refining the system architecture to align with the company’s specific needs, and implementing the necessary features and modules.
We then focused on rigorous testing to ensure a seamless user experience, resolving any bugs along the way, and setting up the infrastructure to support a robust deployment. Throughout the process, we remained committed to ensuring that every feature of the platform aligned with Blastily‘s vision. With the platform now live and ready for users, this marks a significant milestone in our shared journey, and we look forward to seeing Blastily empower businesses worldwide to reach new heights.

Building the Blastily Application
When Blastily Limited entrusted us with the development of their platform, they shared their Product Requirements Document (PRD) with us. After thoroughly reviewing the work completed by their previous development partner, we worked closely with the team to devise new strategies to elevate the project. These strategies included a complete platform redesign, an in-depth review of existing features and modules, the addition of new functionalities, and the design of a unique, responsive landing page aimed at attracting and engaging users.

Blastily is designed as a multifaceted system, catering to two primary user groups: Blasters and Listers. At the heart of Blastily are two powerful interfaces:
-
Listers: Provide premium advertising inventory across various categories.
-
Blasters: Can easily discover, plan, book, and manage campaigns in real-time, spanning a wide range of categories.
The platform empowers users, whether startups, businesses, or individuals, to seamlessly book listings across multiple categories and manage their marketing campaigns effectively at scale. These categories span a wide range of advertising opportunities, including Creators, Billboards, Publications, Vehicles, Radio, Apps, Television, Events, and Podcasts. With Blastily, users can easily access and leverage these diverse advertising channels, enabling them to execute comprehensive and impactful marketing strategies across various platforms.
The key deliverables of the project include
- UI/UX Design
- Website
- Blog
- Users Management System
- Partners Management System
- Admin Management System
- Configuration of the server
- Deployment
We designed, developed, and meticulously implemented each of these key deliverables, ensuring that every feature met the project’s requirements and supported the platform’s long-term goals.
UI/UX Design
The UI/UX design phase for Blastily was carried out in close collaboration with the parent company, ensuring that every design element aligned with their specific requirements and business vision. We meticulously crafted each aspect of the user interface, paying attention to detail to ensure consistency across all key deliverables. From the website to the user management system and the partners management system, we designed every page, feature, and module in Figma. Each design was carefully considered to provide an intuitive, seamless user experience.
The design process was highly iterative, with regular reviews and feedback sessions with the parent company. As designs progressed, revisions were made based on their input, ensuring the final product reflected their vision. Once all adjustments were implemented and finalised, the designs were formally approved, marking the completion of the design phase and paving the way for development to begin.
Website/Blog
The Blastily website was meticulously designed in alignment with the approved UI/UX designs, ensuring a cohesive and visually compelling user experience. We developed key pages, including the Homepage, About Us, Testimonials, Survey, Contact Us, and Terms and Conditions, with a focus on high-quality content and design. Motion graphics, videos, and high-resolution images were seamlessly integrated to create a dynamic and engaging experience. The brand’s distinctive colour palette was carefully applied throughout, ensuring the website authentically reflects Blastily‘s identity and values.
For the blog, we implemented a Content Management System (CMS) using WordPress, as per the parent company’s preference. This CMS was seamlessly integrated with the website, enabling the parent company to easily create and manage articles, updates, and other content, thereby facilitating ongoing engagement with their audience and strengthening their brand presence.
Users Management System
The User Management System, also referred to as the Blasters Portal, was designed and developed in full alignment with the approved UI/UX designs, incorporating a wide range of features to meet the needs of the platform’s users. Key functionalities include user login and registration, password recovery, compliance management, business creation and switching, and wallet integration. For seamless transactions, we integrated Paystack for Nigerian users and Stripe for international users, supporting multi-currency operations. The system also enables features such as listing, booking management, contact management, contact segmentation, wallet transactions, and survey management, including survey creation and response tracking.
Additionally, the portal features a Publish Me function that enables users to create media publication requests, along with robust security measures, profile management, customizable dashboards, and detailed analytics. Notifications were integrated to keep users updated on important actions, while continuous iterations and thorough testing, including unit and user acceptance testing, ensured a smooth and efficient development process. Bugs were swiftly identified and resolved, ensuring a stable user experience. Above all, the system was seamlessly integrated with the Admin Management System, ensuring a cohesive and functional platform.
Partners Management System
The Partners Management System, also known as the Listers Portal, was developed in full alignment with the approved UI/UX designs, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for Blastily’s partners. This system incorporates a wide range of features tailored to meet the needs of the platform’s partners, including user login and registration, password recovery, wallet integration, and the ability to withdraw funds from revenue earned through booked listings.
Key functionalities also include the ability to create and manage listings, view and manage bookings from Blasters, manage subscriptions, track wallet transactions, and access detailed profiles, notifications, dashboards, and analytics. Partners can create listings across nine categories, with Blasters able to book these listings, generating revenue for the platform. Blastily earns a commission on every booking, while partners can choose between a yearly subscription plan or a free plan with limited access.
Each listing submitted by a partner undergoes a thorough approval process by Blastily before it is made visible to users on the website, ensuring quality control and consistency across the platform. This rigorous approval process, combined with the value-added services provided to partners, ensures a reliable and rewarding experience for all parties involved.
Admin Management System
The Admin Management System provides administrators with complete control over the Blastily platform, enabling them to seamlessly manage users, partners, listings, bookings, and content. Admins can oversee subscription plans, manage payments, and track listings to ensure they meet the platform’s quality standards before publication. Detailed reports on bookings, commissions, and revenue provide admins with the necessary tools to maintain full oversight of platform performance.
The system offers robust campaign monitoring, analytics, and reporting features, allowing admins to track engagement, performance metrics, and generate reports. Additionally, admins can monitor user activity to better understand platform engagement. Advanced security measures are in place to safeguard sensitive data. The listings and publication request approval process is streamlined with a clear workflow, allowing admins to approve or reject submissions, ensuring consistent quality control. With these features, the Admin Management System empowers admins to efficiently manage platform operations, maintain system integrity, and drive long-term success.
